Deed 9-59, Mecklenburg County, NC - Charles (H) and Clara (X) Hart to Charles Keagle [Cagle], being 115 acres on the “fork of Plumb Run and Hamby’s Branch.” Shaded in green, the metes and bounds on this and later conveyances of this tract do not construct a closed shape. Looking at surrounding lands, an error in direction of one line can be deduced. Instead of running 80 degrees north the line in question should run 8 degrees. The metes and bounds are: from a R. O. north 70 west 80 to stake, north 8 west 170 to Hic., south 82 east 140 to W. O., south 12 west 178 to begin.

Deed 9-214, Mecklenburg County, NC - 16 Apr 1778, probation was lost. Charles Keagle and Mary Ann (x) his wife to “Elizabeth Miller, relict of John Miller late of sd. county and state deceased.” Being 115 acres. Wit: John McKnight Alexander, Nathan Orr.

These are not in Cabarrus County deed book 9 and Mecklenburg doesn't use numbers for deed books.  Is this a state Grant in Mecklenburg Counyt?

"Over a decade later, on 27 Oct 1782,a warrant (Grant 3510 Mecklenburg NC) issued to Charles Hart identifies adjoining landowners as David Caigle and “Burdick Howell.” Located a little further north, Charles Hart’s land was situated on both sides of Rocky River just above the lands of Joseph Howell. Within two years after being warranted, the survey for the land no longer mentioned Burdick Howell. "
