Father

 Andrew Mannon was born 8 Aug 1842 in Claiborne County, Tennessee.  He may have been the son of Sarah Manning.  His father is still uncertain and likely not William Manning as many assume. 

Andrew served in the Civil War on the Union side, serving in the 6th Regiment KY Cavalry, company E. After the Civil War married  This family moved around to many states including TN, KY, IN, and Missouri.  Andrew continued to move around and this family lived Il, AR, OK, MO, and finally Oklahoma again. In his later years Andrew drew a pension from his Civil War service. 

Andrew was a farmer which was the most common occupation in this period.

Andrew died on 29 June 1920 in Fort Gibson, Cherokee County, Oklahoma and was buried in the Fort Gibson city cemetery.   

Andrew's Y-DNA Haplogroup is R-S22047.  Recent Y-DNA testing has linked the Mannon surname to Eldridge.

The DNA evidence also indicates that Andrew was indeed the father of an Andrew Jackson Manning born in the early-mid 1860s to another Lee descendant. 		Census Records:

Mother

(Md. 1864) 		Angeline Lee  was born 6 Dec 1847 in Knox County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Phillip Lee and Mary Bray.

Andrew married Angeline Lee on 25 May 1864 in Knox County, Kentucky. 

Andrew and Angeline had 6 children before her death on 11 Aug 1874 presumably in Missouri.
1866 ● Margaret Elizabeth Mannon was born 5 June 1866 in Kentucky. She married Wiley James Caudle (brother of Grace Caudle). Margaret died 30 January 1956 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and was buried Hulbert cemetery, Hulbert, Oklahoma. They were living in Stonewall, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma in 1890; Jackson County, Colorado in 1901; and in Cherokee County, Oklahoma in 1920.

1870 ● George Philip Mannon was born 18 August 1870 in Bartholemew County?, Indiana and died 190?. He married married Anna E Howard about 1889 [no record found].  George died about 1905. Anna remarried to William Spencer Caudle (brother of Wiley Caudle and Grace Caudle) and had several more children.  Anna died 7 June 1936 presumably in Paden, Okfuskee County, Oklahoma.
  • Rosa A. Mannon was born 9 July 1890 in Stonewall?, Indian Territory (Oklahoma).  She married Robert M Wilson on 23 Sep 1908 in Taney County, Missouri.  Rosa died on 26 June 1979 in Prague, Oklahoma.
  • Oscar Lee Mannon was born 5 Feb 1894 in Indian Territory (Oklahoma). He married Harriet Lou Iza Williams.  Oscar died 3 Aug 1872 in Sedro Wooley, Washington.
