Andrew Mannan (Manning) was born probably in the mid-late 1780s. Andrew may have had a brother Samuel.

In 1826 in Harlan County, Kentucky there was divorce case between Andrew Manning and Polly Manning (maiden name Foster). They had been married for 17 years [married about 1809]. Evidently they separated very early but did not divorce officially until 1826 and meanwhile continued to have children by others. Andrew's second wife/consort was Elizabeth Evans. In about 1814 William was charged with an offense (adultery?) and moved to Harlan County by 1820 with Elizabeth.

Andrew eventually moved to Missouri with some of his children. At the moment it is unclear exactly which children are by which wife/consort.

Andrew Mannon's (1842-1920) Y-DNA has been tested via two male-line descendants and the Y-DNA matches resolve mainly to the surname Eldridge. This indicates there is an illegitimacy or unexpected some where in Andrew Mannon's paternal line. Census Records:
