Will of William Hall, Laurens County, South Carolina, 1799

In the Name of God Amen - This 27th day of May one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety Nine I William Hall of South Carolina Laurens County being very sick and weake in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be unto God therefore Calling to mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men Once to Die, do make and Ordain this my last will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I Give and Recommend, my soul to God that gave it, and my Body to the Earth to be buried in Decent Christian burial, at the Discretion of my Executors, and as touching my worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose of in the following manner -- first for all my Lawful Debts to be paid -- Second I give to my dear Wife all my Estate Except my Lands during her life ay lands to be Divided between my Sons Abram and Henry the Road to be the line between them Patty Clardy and William [Hall] One Shillings Sterling, and all my Stock and house hold furniture with all things Else that I possess to be Sold and Divided between Elisabeth Carter; Sarah Clardy, Mary Bailey, and Frankey Carter, I do Acknowledge this to be my last Will and Testament, In Witness whereof X hereunto set my hand and Seal the Day and Year above Written -----
