Jerusha Stark
connection hypotheses

(Last updated 30 Aug 2024)

Hypothesis 1 - Jerusha Stark (1816) was a child of Charles Stark (c. 1782) and Elizabeth Bays.

This is supported by:
(1) Many DNA matches to sibling lines.
(2) Close proximity of Charles and Elizabeth  to the Applegate family.

 Hypothesis 2 - Jerusha Stark (1816) was a late child of Jonathan Daniel Stark (1768-1828) & Rachel Devour/Devore (1775-1852).

This is certainly possible but the sibling matches don't support it.

An Ancestry "ThruLines" examination for KD shows DNA matches at about 10-15 centimorgans on average. An Ancestry "ThruLines" examination for LH shows DNA matches at about 10-20 centimorgans on average.

Hypothesis 3 - Jerusha Stark (1816) was a late child of Daniel Stark & Elizabeth Wells.

This is impossible because of parent's ages.

Hypothesis 4 - Jerusha Stark (1816) was a late child of Abraham Stark (1781) & Sarah Stark.

This is eliminated because the relative lack of DNA matches to sibling lines.
