Father	Thomas Halsell Jr was born before 1750 (est.) place unknown.  He was probably the son of Thomas Halsell Sr (Halsey) and Mary Moberly. Thomas Halsell's first wife is currently unknown.  Thomas Halsell's second wife was Elizabeth Haydon who he married in 1802 Thomas died in 1826 in Montgomery County, Tennessee and a will and estate file exists. [will transcript] The Halsell Y-DNA haplogroup is R-M269. Mother	Ms. ___________ Previous assumptions that she was Mary Moberly appear to be erroneous.  Moberly researchers have the daughter of Edward & Susannah named Mary being the wife of a Thomas Halsell.  Given the large difference in ages between Mary's likely birth (estimated 1750-1755 if she was the wife of Thomas Halsell junior) and the estimated birth years of her supposed siblings (1720-1730s) by other researchers it seem more likely that Mary was in fact married to Thomas Halsell senior not Thomas Halsell junior.

Her will was recorded in the courthouse on 30 Aug 1834. Ingram was born 20 June 1832 in Tennessee. Nancy E. Ingram was born about 1835 in Tennessee.  She married Ambrose B Manion.  Nancy died 18 June 1879 in Todd County, Kentucky.
